Kenya Build continues to support Cheryl's in a big way having commenced the building of two classrooms, a library and an IT room at Cheryls.  It is hoped that volunteers will complete the project by late September.

 

 

At a fundraiser organized by Maeve Coghlan on April 25 the children from St. Patrick's school Dalkey sang "The Bare Necessities" and also "Inch Worm" as the children from Cheryl's did last year.  Children sing for children. The event was successful in raising 3200 euros which will be dedicated to the purchase of an acre of land for the high school and village project.

 

On Tuesday, March 2, 2010 the students of St. Francis Xavier School in Brockville, Ontario, Canada were introduced via photos and video to the children of Cheryl's.  For their Lenton project, the Canadian students are reflecting on what they have and what they can share.  To begin with, they will exchange letters with 'classmates' on the other side of the world.  Stay tuned as we report some of their experiences over the next few months.
